Welcome to our home, Glenwood Arkansas, where the cool clean waters of the Caddo River winds its path through the foothills of the Ouachita Mountains.  Glenwood has the amenities of a small city and the natural beauty of a rural mountain community.


Stretching along the banks of the Caddo River, Glenwood is the perfect home or family vacation destinations. The Caddo is one of the most constant float rivers in Arkansas with frequent Class I and Class II rapids; it is a popular trek for canoeing and kayaking.  In addition, the Caddo has several great swimming holes and a variety of fish species to interest the most intense anglers.


Located on the Natural States Golf Trail,  Glenwood is home to one of the states nicest public golf courses, providing enjoyment for the novice and a challenge for even the most experienced golfer.  The course offers a club house and lodge for your convenience.


Glenwood is home to 3 city maintained parks and the new John Benjamin Community Lake.  These parks offer walking and bike trails, a skateboard park, a soccer field, a baseball field, playground equipment, and plenty of picnic tables and pavilions for family outings.


Centrally nestled between 5 fantastic lakes:  Lake Greeson, Lake Degray, Lake Ouachita, Lake Hamilton, and Lake Catherine, all of which are Arkansas Destinations, and just a road trip away from Mt Ida’s Quartz Crystal Mines, Murfreesboro’s Diamond Mine, Hot Spring National Park’s Horse Racing and Thermal Bath Houses, and the Lake DeGray Resort, Glenwood is the hub city for discovering Southwest Arkansas Tourism.


The winding highways through the Ouachita Mountains provide scenic rides for motorcycle and bicycle enthusiast. There are plenty of rugged trails that offer adventure for hikers and backpacking. The rolling hills are great for long walks and horseback rides and with wildlife abundant, the Foothills of the Ouachita is a Mecca for both nature lovers and serious sportsmen alike.  

Historic area sites and attractions include:  The Glenwood Railroad Depot, The Wooden Trestle Bridges, the Desoto Indian Monument, The thermal springs in the Caddo River, and the historic Amity Bank.  Glenwood also boosts of many local artist, craftspersons, and musicians.
